UxPlay is an open source AirPlay2 Mirror server. Its main use is to act like an AppleTV for screen-mirroring (with audio) of iOS/iPadOS/macOS clients (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Mac computers) in a window on the server display of a host running Linux, macOS, other Unix, or Microsoft Windows. The UxPlay server and its client must be on the same local area network, on which a Bonjour/Zeroconf mDNS/DNS-SD server is also running (only DNS-SD "Service Discovery" service is strictly necessary, it is not necessary that the local network also be of the ".local" mDNS-based type). On Linux and BSD Unix servers, this is usually provided by Avahi, through the avahi-daemon service.

Binary packages can be installed with the high-level tool pkgin (which can be installed with pkg_add) or pkg_add(1) (installed by default). The NetBSD packages collection is also designed to permit easy installation from source.
The pkg_admin audit command locates any installed package which has been mentioned in security advisories as having vulnerabilities.
Please note the vulnerabilities database might not be fully accurate, and not every bug is exploitable with every configuration.
Problem reports, updates or suggestions for this package should be reported with send-pr.
